Mark Tengler, Co-President & Chief Technology OfficerMark Tengler has 20 years of industry experience including management, intellectual property, operations, development and negotiations. Mr. Tengler is the principal inventor in DTRS®, RDIM, DVR, DKP, DPD and SLIC delivery technologies. He developed and commercialized more than 70 pharmaceutical products and dietary supplements. Mr. Tengler previously served as Director of Operations for PharmaPrint, the delivery technology behind Centrum Herbals, growing sales from zero to $22 million in less than 12 months. Mr. Tengler holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.
Ellen Hoffing, Co-President & Chief Operating OfficerEllen Hoffing has more than 25 years of industry experience spanning U.S. and global markets for prescription, generic, diagnostics, OTC and consumer products. Ms. Hoffing previously served as a member of the executive management teams at G.D. Searle, formerly a division of Monsanto, Baxter Healthcare and American Pharmaceutical Partners. Ms. Hoffing currently serves on the Board of Directors of Perrigo Company and is Chairman of Applied NeuroSolutions, where she has also served as President and CEO. Ms. Hoffing holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University.
Russ McMahen, VP Research & Development
Russ McMahen has 24 years of industry experience specializing in solids, liquids and suspensions. Mr. McMahen oversees the development of new products and technology. He is the co-inventor of DTRS®, RDIM, DVR, DKP, DPD and SLIC delivery technologies. At Neos, Mr. McMahen has held various positions including Vice President, Research & Development, Executive Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Scientific Affairs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, where he was rewarded for his excellent academic performance with membership in the Engineering Honor Society Tau Beta Pi.
Margaret Lokash, VP OperationsMargaret Lokash has 12 years of industry experience and leads all aspects of operations, supply chain and production including responsibilities for customer management, planning and project management. Ms. Lokash holds an MBA in Operations Management Science and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Logistics from the University of North Texas.
Bryan Hill, VP Quality AssuranceBryan Hill has 21 years of industry experience and is responsible for quality control and assurance, laboratory testing, validation and cGMP compliance activities. Mr. Hill has overseen FDA submissions (IND, NDA, 505(b)(2), ANDA), FDA inspections, and QA/QC/Engineering activities related to market launch and commercialization of new products. Over the course of his career, Mr. Hill has held executive positions in quality, technology services, R&D, engineering and regulatory compliance. He holds a Biochemistry degree from Texas A&M.
Victor Miller, VP FinanceVictor Miller has 17 years of pharmaceutical and finance industry experience, including business and corporate development, finance, marketing and strategy. Mr. Miller previously worked at Baxter Healthcare, Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Dorothy Frank, VP of Regulatory AffairsDorothy Frank has 25 years of pharmaceutical experience in quality assurance and regulatory affairs, where she successfully gained approval for several drug product candidates with the FDA, Canadian HPB and the European EMA. Ms. Frank joined the Neos team in 2010 as VP of Regulatory Affairs where she guides the regulatory strategy for Neos pharmaceutical products from initial feasibility stages through the NDA approval process and post-approval commitments. She received her MS in Analytical Chemistry from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and holds a Regulatory Certificate from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society.
Carolyn Sikes, PhD. VP of Clinical Affairs
Carolyn Sikes has nearly 20 years of experience in medical affairs and international drug development. Prior to joining Neos, Dr. Sikes held various leadership roles at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and has worked in multiple areas, including the development of therapeutics for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, epilepsy, pain and other central nervous system disorders. She holds a PhD in Psychobiology/Neuroscience from Duke University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Psychoneuroendocrinology at Cornell University Medical College.
Mark Van Ausdal, General Counsel
Mark Van Ausdal has more than 30 years of experience specializing in the legal aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Van Ausdal began his career in private practice in Chicago and spent over 20 years at G.D. Searle & Co. in a series of appointed positions, ending as the Pharma Law Leader and overseeing legal portions of the integration with Pharmacia Corporation. He holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and his LLB from the University of Chicago.
